Mid-Week Intel: DarkWatch Alerts, AI Hacking Tool, and Apple Update

It's Wednesday, and we're back with the mid-week intel roundup. Here's what you need to know from the CyberAware UK desk.

DarkWatch Update

Our DarkWatch monitoring has captured 175,008 items, tracking 33,907 entities, and raised 3,030 alerts across 10 active targets. One recent capture is from DragonForce, a group running an active dark web leak site. These sites are used to publish stolen data and pressure victims. We never read out the addresses, but if your details appear in a breach, change that password and turn on two-step verification immediately.

AI-Powered Hacking

Researchers have identified a tool called CyberStrikeAI that uses 44 AI agents to automate hacking operations against targets in Japan. This shows how attackers are using AI to speed up attacks. The defence remains the same: strong, unique passwords, regular updates, and caution with links and attachments.

GoAhead TLS Flaws

Flaws in GoAhead TLS could allow revoked client certificates to still be accepted and enable session decryption. This mainly affects organisations running web servers. If you run a small business website, ask your hosting provider if they have patched. Home users are not directly affected.

Apple Backports Fix

Apple has released a fix for an exploited CoreGraphics vulnerability, backporting it to older iPhones and iPads. If you use an older Apple device, go to Settings > General > Software Update and install the latest update. It's a quick step that protects you.

Actionable Takeaway

Check your devices for updates today, especially Apple ones, and if you receive a breach alert, change that password and enable two-step verification. Small steps make a big difference.
