📋 What to Have Ready When You Call

  • 📍 Location — where did the crime happen? Be as specific as possible (street name, postcode, station name, bus route number)
  • Time — when did it happen? Exact time or approximate window
  • 👤 Description — what the suspect looked like (height, build, clothing, distinguishing features)
  • 🎥 Evidence — any photos, videos, CCTV locations, witness details
  • 📄 Reference numbers — any existing crime numbers, insurance details, or related reports

💻 Report Online

Most police forces now let you report non-emergency crimes online. You can do it from your phone, it takes 10-15 minutes, and you'll get a crime reference number by email.

🌐 Find Your Local Police Force

Go to police.uk and enter your postcode to find your local force website. Most forces have an online reporting form.
