Welcome to your Sunday roundup. This week, our dark web monitoring systems recorded a staggering 413,640 captures, involving 5,042 different entities. That sounds scary, but let's break it down.

Most of that activity is just background noise — bots, automated scans, and low-level chatter. But among the noise, we spotted 1,150 alerts and 5 active targets. These are the ones that matter.

One high-risk alert was a live ransomware leak site. A .onion address was found active and responding. Ransomware gangs use these sites to pressure victims by threatening to release stolen data. The best defence? Back up your files now, keep software updated, and never pay the ransom.

We also saw new onion addresses for Archive.is, Proton Mail, and DuckDuckGo. These are legitimate services offering private access. But be careful — criminals often create fake versions. Always verify the address from trusted sources.

In other news, two alleged hackers from the group 'TeamPCP' were arrested in Australia. It's a reminder that law enforcement is fighting back, but we still need to do our part.

Berlin made headlines by refusing to pay hackers who stole data from the city's network. Experts agree — paying ransoms funds more attacks.

Finally, Android 17 now includes OS-wide Encrypted Client Hello (ECH), which hides your website visits from network providers. It's a step forward, but not a silver bullet. Stay cautious.
